New York State Police troopers were dispatched to Bray Farm Lane on Sunday, March 11 after receiving reports of a domestic dispute in progress. Further investigation determined that LaGrange resident Shaheer Ali allegedly struck his victim with a copper pipe before menacing his victim with a BB gun as police arrived.
Ali was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, a felony and a misdemeanor count of second-degree menacing. Following arraignment in the Town of LaGrange Court, Ali was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond. He is due back in court later this month to answer the charges.
